THREE SIMPLE STEPS
Open a short clip in the FPS converter. You can check its current frame rate before choosing an output. No video upload is required.
Select 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 FPS to match your project. The exact fractional rates 23.976, 29.97 and 59.94 are also available.
Click Convert, preview the result, then download your MP4. The tool keeps the original playback speed and retains audio when present.
UNDERSTAND THE RESULT
FPS means frames per second. This video FPS changer drops frames when you lower the frame rate and repeats frames when you raise it. Playback speed stays the same; the duration may round slightly to fit the output frames.
Increasing FPS does not add new motion detail. A 30 to 60 FPS conversion repeats existing frames. It does not use AI or motion interpolation, so the result will not have the motion detail of footage recorded at 60 FPS.
A QUICK FRAME RATE GUIDE
Match your editing timeline or delivery requirements.
There is no single best FPS for every video.
Match a 24 FPS timeline or delivery spec. Converting 30 FPS to 24 FPS drops frames and can make fast motion look less even.
Also available: 23.976Used in many broadcast workflows in regions with 50 Hz electrical systems.
Higher-rate counterpart: 50Convert 60 FPS to 30 FPS for a project that needs fewer frames per second. The video keeps its original playback speed.
Also available: 29.97Match a 60 FPS timeline. Converting a 30 FPS source repeats frames; smoother motion requires additional source frames or interpolation.

Yes. FPS Changer is free to use, adds no watermark, and requires no signup. The current per-file limits are 50 MB, 60 seconds, and 1080p, including portrait video up to 1080 × 1920.
No. The converter changes the number of frames per second while preserving the original playback speed and approximate duration. Minor rounding to the nearest output frame can occur.
This converter duplicates existing frames when increasing FPS. It does not use AI or optical flow to generate new motion, so 30 FPS footage does not gain the motion detail of video originally recorded at 60 FPS.
Common inputs include MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and AVI. Each file must be up to 50 MB, 60 seconds and 1080p, including portrait video up to 1080 × 1920. Format support depends on the codecs inside the file. The output is MP4; unsupported, damaged or protected files may not convert.
No. Your video is read and processed locally in your browser. The converter downloads its processing components on first use, but does not send your video to a server. See our privacy notice for details.
The video is re-encoded, so some quality loss is possible and the file size can change. Audio is retained when present. Increasing FPS does not increase resolution or recover detail. The MP4 output uses a constant frame rate.
Your browser downloads the video-processing engine on first use. Conversion then uses your own device’s memory and processor. Keep this tab open; short clips work best. If your browser cannot run the converter, try a current version of Chrome or Edge on desktop.
